Welcome to the 3rd Macau Symposium on Biomedical Sciences 2016


The Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Macau is going to organize the 3rd Macau Symposium on Biomedical Sciences 2016. You are cordially invited to join this exciting event, which will be held in the University of Macau, Macau SAR, China from 23rd – 24th May 2016.

The theme of the symposium this year is cancer biology, stem cell technology and genome-editing technology, which include but not limited to the following topics:

  • Stem Cell
  • Development and induction
  • Metabolism
  • Genome-editing
  • Cancer precision medicine
  • Diagnostic Imaging
  • Drug discovery
  • Cancer Immunology
  • Tumor metastasis
  • Signaling Networks and Therapeutics

The Symposium aims at gathering scholars and professionals in the field of biomedical sciences that foster discussions and possible research collaborations. Last year, we are very honoured to have two Nobel Laureates, Professor Aaron Ciechanover (2004) and Professor Ada Yonath (2009) to be our keynote speakers. About 150 people, including over 20 invited speakers and speakers selected from meeting registrants, attended the Symposium.

This year, Professor Mario Capecchi, Nobel Prize winner in Physiology or Medicine (2007) will be attending our event as a keynote. The organizing committee would like to invite you to join this exciting event. Looking forward to seeing you in Macau!
